Introduction

Teen Patti, also known as Three-Card Poker, offers a fast-paced twist on traditional casino play: instead of competing directly against the dealer, you wager on whether Player A or Player B will receive the strongest three-card hand. The simplicity and excitement of placing bets on the best hand make Teen Patti a thrilling choice for both newcomers and seasoned gamblers.

How to Play

Ante and Optional Side Bets

  1. Ante Bet (Required): To join the game, each player places an Ante wager.
  2. Optional Side Bets: Players may also place one or both of the following side bets before cards are dealt:
    • Pair Plus: Wins if your three-card hand contains at least one pair or better (payouts described below).
    • Six-Card Bonus: Combines your three cards with the dealer’s three cards to form the best five-card poker hand (payouts described below).

Dealing the Cards

  • The dealer distributes three face-down cards to each player and themselves.
  • Players may look at their own cards but cannot see anyone else’s.

Player Decisions

  • After viewing their hand, each player who placed an Ante must choose to Fold or Play.
    • Fold: Forfeit the Ante bet and exit the round.
    • Play: Place an additional wager equal to the original Ante.

Dealer Qualification

  • The dealer reveals their own three-card hand.
  • To qualify, the dealer must have at least a high Queen (Q) or better.
    • Dealer Doesn’t Qualify: Ante bet wins even money; the Play bet pushes (returned to the player).
    • Dealer Qualifies: Compare player vs. dealer hands (see next section).

Comparing Hands

  • If the player’s hand ranks higher than the dealer’s, both Ante and Play bets pay even money.
  • If the dealer’s hand is higher, both bets lose.
  • If there is a tie, both bets push.
  • Ante Bonus: If you Play and your hand is a Straight or better, you receive an Ante Bonus payout (regardless of the dealer’s hand).

Hand Rankings

From highest to lowest:

  1. Three of a Kind
  2. Straight Flush
  3. Straight
  4. Flush

  6. High Card

Note: In Teen Patti, Three of a Kind outranks a Straight Flush.

Optimal Playing Strategy

  • Play with any hand Q-6-4 or better.
